Presentation of the Children’s Foundation: Fostering Equity and Inclusion for Haiti’s Children

Presentation of the Children’s Foundation: Fostering Equity and Inclusion for Haiti’s Children Founded in Haiti in 2017, and recognized by the state in 2019, Foundation Latramblais for childhood (FLE) is a public organization that works for the defense, protection of children in Christian and social education, in child nutrition, health, and support for refugee children in Haiti, with an emphasis on those who are particularly in situations of the streets. The idea of creating the Latramblais Foundation comes from the observations of a group of nurses. They noted that year after year, the number of children roaming the streets of the Latramblais village continues to rise. Located in the West, Haiti, North-East of Port-au-Prince, the capital of the country, this foundation works diligently so that all the children of the village can enjoy the right to education as well as the right to live in a family. Our activities are carried out transparently, which creates trust with partners and our intervention sites. We are a neutral and independent foundation. We are not dependent on any other entity or institution, and we help children without any discrimination. Our commitment to children in need of our services and our availability to meet their needs completes the meaning and depth of our actions.
